Illustrative lettering poster with the quote “Scammers Sell…” by SCD Balaji features a composition where a calm, composed fox dressed and behaving like a cute rabbit speaks confidently in an Instagram reel, saying in a speech bubble, “I’m so gifted to be born as a cute rabbit.” Many rabbits watch on their mobile devices, cheering and engaging with the content, while “500th Reel” appears within the scene. Highlighted words “Scammers Sell” and “Conviction, Composure and Consistency” are prominently styled and visually integrated.
There is a beautifully written verse in Thiruvasagam, a collection of divine hymns: “I do not fear the Truth of the Liars” (பொய்யர் தம் மெய்யும் அஞ்சேன்), by Manikavasagar. An enlightened being like him who expresses his 10 darkest fears and seeks mental strength from the divine, indirectly lists “The Truth of the Liars” as his primal fear.
He could have simply written, “the lie of the liars,” but why “truth”? That’s the catch. Liars deliver their falsehoods with such conviction, composure and consistency that it feels like truth. Even a lie detector cannot identify it as lies.
Written in the 9th century CE, this remains strikingly relevant even in the Age of Social Media.
The funniest part? I’ve never seen a scammer or liar feel jealous or envious of an authentic, talented or virtuous person. Instead, they pity them with true sympathy. What an irony ;)
To conclude: Scammers ignore their lies and convince themselves to glory, while truthful people judge their truth and compromise themselves as failures. This reflects in both their communication and confidence.
Do you think scammers have more conviction, composure and consistency than the authentic ones?
What do you affirm every day?
