Illustrative lettering poster on vision and awareness by SCD Balaji, portraying two blindfolded individuals floating in a neon, retro-futuristic world surrounded by social media icons, smartphones, money, junk food, coffee, and digital distractions. Rendered in glowing purples, blues, and pinks with bold neon typography, the artwork symbolizes modern stimulants that offer instant gratification but distract from nurturing true vision, focus, and long-term purpose in Anime art style.
When something new and exciting catches your attention, everyday tasks start to feel boring. This happens because of “stimulants” — things that give you quick pleasure without real effort.
Examples: coffee (quick energy) vs. exercise (earned energy), or doomscrolling (instant fun) vs. books (earned enjoyment).
Using too many stimulants can make you addicted or numb to normal life.
Warning Signs: Things you used to enjoy, now feels boring, and you can’t focus on important tasks.
Stimulants include: bad habits, comfort zones, social media, junk food, porn, seeking attention and fame, chasing money, and even following gurus or beliefs too much.
The solution: Stay Away or Stay Alert. Distance yourself from stimulants whenever possible. When you can’t avoid them, maintain an awareness by identifying your stimulants, journaling regularly and tracking your progress of watchfulness.
Sometimes you slip more into stimulants because you really don’t know what you want and don’t. If that’s the case, then fix your vision, milestones and goals. Anything aligned with your vision nurtures you and anything not aligned with your vision is merely a Stimulant.
Are you aware of your stimulants? Do you have “Your Vision” to identify the Stimulants around you?
