A thankless profession is where the professional or a person receives little or no recognition, gratitude, or fair compensation. These are invisible professions where people only notice them when something goes wrong.
These professionals’ success is defined by the absence of their mistakes, not by the grace of their service. Few examples of thankless professions are Social workers, Public workers, Sanitation workers, Health care professionals, etc.
I have the responsibility to share this as a Mentor of Mentors, because… In recent times, I have seen people in a rush to mentor others. Mostly to get appreciated, receive gratification, and a social status to be treated as a mentor, without understanding the hard reality behind it.
The Brutal truth is that…
A Mentor always has to offer wisdom without a single expectation, and if the mentee leaves or disappears with their innocent ego, we have to wait for them to become receptive and understand the need for our light in their life. Sometimes it might take days, months, years or even decades. We Mentors have to gracefully wait…
Are you a Mentor/ Mentee waiting to…?
