Illustrative lettering poster with the quote “A Judgement mirrors the Speaker’s Mind and the reaction towards the judgement mirrors the Listener’s Mind.” by SCD Balaji featuring a royal-style scene where an arrogant king tells a graceful gentleman, “You are an arrogant person,” while the gentleman responds with a calm smile; within his thought bubble reads, “How dare you say this to me, do you know who I am?” The composition visually contrasts outward composure and inner reaction, symbolizing reflection, ego, and self-awareness in human communication.
Whenever you share an opinion, it mostly reflects your inner reflection of how you see the world and people, rather than what exits in reality.
One tends to think that they are actually sharing an honest opinion. But it is actually an amalgamation of how one perceives things from their lens of desires, fears, inspirations, limitations, personal biases, past experiences, etc.
I know this provides a sense of relief as we needn’t be bothered by anyone’s feedback, opinion, comment or criticism.
Wait! This is not the actual Epiphany Moment I’m talking about!
The unseen truth is…
Whenever someone shares an opinion, the way we receive, perceive, respond, or react internally shows what we are inside. This actually reflects our maturity, ego, receptivity, self, etc.
We can’t control others’ view of us, but we do have the choice to choose the way we want to see ourselves, with the help of this Internal Mirror, which reveals our true selves.
Have you ever watched your inner self while receiving an opinion, comment, or feedback?
Who are you inside, in those moments?
