TALISMANS OF THIRUKKURAL | INCEPTION EDITION | COMPASSION

TALISMANS are spiritual or mystical objects protecting, healing or energising their masters. Ancient Indians practised Wisdom as a tool for certain mandalas (41, 90, 108 Days)  and turned it into an Inner Talisman for Lifetimes. Thirukkural, written in 1330 couplets by the eternal Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar in the 5th century CE, is one of the earliest Indian classics about Virtue, Wealth and Love. TALISMANS OF THIRUKKURAL illustrations series is my humble attempt to extract Thirukkural's Wisdom Tools and express them through the iconography inspired by
Bengal Folk Art of India aka Bengal Pattachitra.
A Vedic woman (Aandal) picks flowers for her morning prayer rituals (responsibility) while still offering food to the hungry parrots (compassion).
